One of the purest athletes on the team... Possess great speed and quickness... Has a chance to be an impact player for the Cougars this season, particularly in rebounding and on the defensive end... Coaches expect her to compete with several other member of the team to lead the squad in rebounding... Also plans to run track for UH.
2007-08 (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in 26 games her first season on campus, averaging 1.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest... Had five rebounds, a block and a steal in her UH debut against Texas Southern (11/9/07)... Grabbed three rebounds in four minutes at Cal State Bakersfield (11/13/07)... Scored a then-career-high six points at Cal Poly (11/15/07)... Also added two assists, a block, a steal and a season-high nine rebounds... Made her first career start against Middle Tennessee (11/19/07) and responded with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block... Had four points and a rebound at Xavier (11/23/07)... Tied her season best with six points and four rebounds against McNeese State (11/25/07)... Blocked one shot in five minutes at Miami (12/8/07)... Grabbed four rebounds along with two points at Akron (12/16/07)... Pulled down seven rebounds and finished with a block and a steal against SMU (2/9/08).
HIGH SCHOOL
Played for coach Jodi Thompson at LaPorte High School... Three-sport athlete in high school, also participating in track and field and volleyball... A three-time First-Team All-District selection in basketball (2005-07)... Named Second-Team All-District as a freshman (2004)... 2007 5A Texas State Champion in the 300-meter hurdles, clocking in at 42.28... State qualifier in both hurdle events... Also a regional champion in the hurdles... Was ranked in the state in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles... Also participated in a Volleyball All-Star Match... Member of National Honor Society and Truth.
