2007-08 (FRESHMAN)
Limited early in the season due to a groin injury, but bounced back to play in 29 contests with 25 appearances in the starting line-up... Emerged as the team's leading rebounder with an average of 8.6 per contest... Her rebounding stats ranked her fifth in Conference USA and 65th nationally... Finished as UH's third leading scorer with 10.1 points per contest, reaching double-digit scoring figures 18 times on the year... Selected to the C-USA All-Freshman team... Led the Cougars with nine double-doubles... Pulled down eight rebounds in her collegiate debut against Texas Southern (11/9/07)... Had one block, one steal and three reobunds in 10 minutes at Cal State Bakersfield (11/13/07)... Scored a then-career-best 18 points on a 7-for-7 shooting night against Middle Tennessee (11/19/07)... Also had four rebounds and a season-best two blocks... Made her first career start at Xavier (11/23/07)... Set a then-career best with nine rebounds... Also had six points and a steal... Made 5-of-11 field goal attempts and went 4-of-6 from the free throw line in a 14-point performance at Rice (1/26/08)... On the road against Memphis (2/1/08), hauled down a season-high 15 rebounds, including four on the offensive end, and added 10 points... Just two days later against UAB (2/3/08), continued her impressive play with 17 points and 12 boards... Narrowly missed double-doubles in road swings at UTEP (2/14/08) and Tulane (2/16/08) by ending play with nine rebounds and double-digit points in both affairs... Notched her eighth double-double of the year at SMU (2/23/08), ending play with 13 points and 11 rebounds... In the team's final action of the season, Taylor produced her best statistical game of the year with 11 rebounds and a season-high 21 points (9-of-12 shooting) in the C-USA Championship Quarterfinals against Southern Miss.
